I just went with what would look good, I did not know the OFFICIAL dress of an Iraqi, and even if I did, I wish not to seek trouble with international relations by making a stereotype like that in the traditional wear, thus insulting someone and causing trouble with international relations

[butterflykizzes1996]: Well just look up on how females in Iraq dress up like,if she’s showing skin it can offend them,plus she could either be lashed,stoned,or killed just for showing skin

I really hate getting into conversations like these, they seriously put me down. It’s my art and I deviate it how I want to!

Okay, OC creators.

Yes, you have some freedom regarding how your characters look, as long as you keep things appropriate for the regions and cultures that you personify and the history behind said regions and cultures.

But that is by far, NO excuse to completely disregard history and culture altogether. There is no excuse for that. Because if you do, that just shows that you don’t care.

And if you don’t care, then you end up looking ignorant. Much like this OC creator has done here.
